I discovered this recipe about 10 years ago on the Rosie O'Donnel Show when she was still on network tv. She was doing a segment of family meals that cost under $5 to prepare, for the whole recipe, not per serving.
This has been a family favorite ever since, especially with the kids.
Ramen Noodle Toss
2 packages of Ramen Noodles
1 pound of hamberger, cooked and drained of grease
1 cup mixed frozen vegetables, defrosted
Butter, salt and pepper to taste
First prepare the noodles. You can boil them on the stove according to directions and then drain, or I just break them into a bowl, put in enough water to almost cover them, and microwave one minute at a time and stir, taking about 3 minutes.
Toss in all ingredients and stir, including spice packets from noodle mixes.
